Flaanimal 5.0 - Dream Bike

February Dream Bike to get us through the winter doldrums: Rodeo Labs Flaanimal 5.0

Rodeo Adventure Labs Flaanimal 5.0 with integrated Spork 3.0 (that's just fun to say.)

1x13 derailleur

Every cyclist has a dream build. For some it's the everything bike, cruising gravel on lunch rides and blasting singletrack on bikepacking weekenders. For others it's an aero whip built to smash KOMs and TT to the top step. These builds exist on two ends of the 700c spectrum, but we've found one point of overlap -- the drivetrain.

1x13 moody

Full range on the rear cassette gives the 1x drivetrain all the bailout gears and the go-fast gears, without the unnecessary clutter of a front derailleur.

1x13 street

This bike is built like Jekyll and Hyde with two wheelsets, one for pavé and one for dirty days. Both wheelsets are running the 12 speed cassette, which offers compatibility with any HG freehub body.

Let's all take a moment to appreciate the clean routing on that hydraulic hose. Chapeau, Rodeo Labs, chapeau.

Rodeo Labs 1x13

Using a wide range of ridiculously light cassettes and a sleek derailleur, the 1x13 groups can be set up for any terrain. With a 1x system, there's no left shifter or protruding front shifting mech, which makes the setup simpler to use and more aero. The clutch derailleur keeps the chain taut for smooth power delivery and crisp shifting in any conditions. This drivetrain is strong, meticulously designed, and built to last. Paired with the INspider power meter, it will deliver the ride of a lifetime and the data to achieve your goals.

Here's how we made a 1x setup with full range:
